Stretton
Juniors is a recent development in the Strettons area presenting opportunities
for coaching, playing and competition for
school aged children interested in hockey.
The Strettons and surrounding area has long
provided quality hockey players for clubs across
Shropshire - now there is a chance for
many children to
represent the Strettons in its own right.
We have also developed Stretton based teams to take part in
the Three Counties Central Venue League (CVL) at Leominster
(Sundays September-April).
The league
features sections for under 13s boys,
under 13s girls, and mixed under 11s (based
on players age on September 1st). Short
7-a-side matches are played on a half-sized pitch with all teams playing one
another at each meeting. This means
there is plenty of opportunity for matchplay
without too much stress and stamina - a
great way to learn.

We are now
underway with the 2009-2010
season and are always looking for new
starters and welcome new players. Come and meet us at
the general hockey training on Mondays 3.30-5.00pm
at Church Stretton School.
The ‘club’ is a wing of Ludlow Hockey Club
(well respected for youth development,
coaching and
child protection with secure finances and
insurance) but plays under its’ own identity
of . . .
"Stretton Juniors".
